Word Clock
A clock you read instead of glance at: the time is spelled out in words, glowing over a flow field that never stops moving.
Try it live
It always shows the real time, spelled out to the nearest five minutes.

How it works
The face is a 16 × 8 grid of letters. Every phrase, like “It is half past noon” or “It is ten to midnight”, is mapped to the letters it needs, and the script lights up the right words for the current time, rounded to five minutes.
Behind it, a p5.js flow field draws thousands of points along Perlin noise, slowly rotating, with a new colour palette every few seconds.
